2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop - Day 5

Welcome to our 2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop. Even though our entries did not make the finalist cut, they represent our best work and we put our hearts and souls into our finished projects. I hope you like our showcase.

Happy Boot Day Card

My concept for this card was to create a fun birthday card, showing off watercoloring on crumb cake card stock and various ways to decorate the boots. I especially like how the creped filter paper mimicked fur on the pink boot. I also cut one side of the natural trim ribbon off and unraveled it to create a fringed look. This card was also a little larger than the regular 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" which is allowed within the rules of the contest.

      OOoooooh Brenda, I LOVE this card!!!!!! I must admit that this was one of the sets I considered using for my artisan entries. I love it and I know I will CASE your fabulous card. I haven't seen it used in this way. :-) Fantastic job!

      Oh my gosh, this is the cutest card made with that set ever! I love the interesting shape, wonderful colors and that fringed burlap is the perfect touch with the big button!

      Alright, finally back from vacation and able to post from my laptop...yes! :) I LOVE this card Brenda! The crepe paper idea is genius! I love the detail it gave the boots and it's so fun to see how you altered each one!
