2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop - Day 6

Welcome to our 2013 Artisan Entry Blog Hop. Even though our entries did not make the finalist cut, they represent our best work and we put our hearts and souls into our finished projects. I hope you like our showcase.

Floral District Clock

From This
To This

This altered clock was one of my 3D projects. The clock started out to be just under 12" across and then after I added the Dresden petals it was almost 2 feet across. This project gave me lots of angst. I nearly broke it putting the hands back on and I had to build special packaging for it to be transported safely. I won't believe that it arrived intact unless I see it at convention.

Some of the special things I did for the clock were: embossing the hands with pool party embossing powder, wrapping the edge with Razzleberry Grosgrain, creating the numbers and dresden petals out of chip board and finally composing the clock face in MDS. I think this project would be a cute accessory for a girl's room.
