I love looking at beautiful fabrics, but I don't sew... I don't even own a sewing machine. When I heard that the big shot could cut fabric and that a super product called Wonder Under would allow me to make fabric appliques, I vowed that I would make a tutorial to help other non-sewers like myself enjoy fabric projects.
Below is a picture of one side of the completed fabric applique tote. These totes are really easy to complete and they can make a great personalized gift, especially if you have an alphabet die. On the reverse side of the tote, I spelled out the recipients name. I hope you enjoy this tutorial.
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Big Shot, Blossom Party Die, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Alphabet Simple Letters Die, Tulipe Die
Supplies: Wonder Under, Fabric, 100% Cotton Tote Bag, Iron, Ironing Board, Wide Grosgrain Ribbon
I don't sew either so I never even considered using my big shot with fabric (even tho I love everyone's quilts and bags) this gives me inspiration to give fabric a try! Thanks so much for posting this. I had never heard of Wonder Under before reading your post. Awesome bag!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI found your tutorial from Splitcoast. I have been wanting to try this, and you show how easy it is! Thank you for sharing!
