The Remarkable You stamp set is one of the prettiest new stamp sets in the catalog with it's large blooms and kind greetings. I was immediately drawn to the calla lily image and I knew that it would be perfect for use with the bleach technique. The bleach technique is not new, but if you've never done it before, it can be fun to watch your card stock change color right before your eyes. Just check out my video tutorial below for instructions.
When you are working with bleach, it's important to remember that the bleach will pull different colors out of the card stock, so it's best to test your card stock first. Sometimes even different lots of card stock can have differing results. You can see my sample chart using Stampin' Up Blue card stock below. Notice how some of the blues (especially the darker ones) pull more yellow than white out of the card stock.
I ended up choosing Marina Mist as my favorite blue for this project. Lost Lagoon and Pool Party also bleached out fairly white to make a nice looking calla lily. After you've bleached out your area, you will want to make sure you let it dry for 5-10 minutes before adding color.
