Every year I like to make bookmarks for my customers when the new Stampin' Up! catalog comes out. I always try to use preview products and the new in-colors in my design. This year I'm featuring the mosaic punch, the matching Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and the new 2013-2015 in-colors. I really like the clean modern look of my design this year, offset by our only completely new core color, Smoky Slate. I hope you like them too.
My bookmark is actually a little longer than the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. To lengthen the design I ran the bookmark through the embossing folder twice, making sure that the end of the embossing folder hung outside the cutting pads. This prevents an embossed line from forming where the card stock hangs out of the embossing folder. The dimensions of the bookmarks are 2-3/8" x 7-1/8". The finished bookmarks were put inside bookmark sleeves: 2 1/2 x 7 1/8 6-Mil Crystal Clear Polypropylene Hanging Bookmark Sleeve (from ClearEnvelopes). I then cut the flap off the bookmark sleeves so that the top was even.
Here are the PDF documents if you would like to make your own:
- Background printed on Smoky Slate (4 per page)
- Baked Brown Sugar (42 per page)
- Crisp Cantaloupe (42 per page)
- Coastal Cabana (42 per page)
- Pistachio Pudding (42 per page)
- Strawberry Slush (42 per page)
