Friendship Preserves Canning Jars

These jars were one of my October Stamp Club projects. I love how Stampin' Up! gives us coordinating fabric and designer paper in Stampin' Up! colors, so that the finished project looks really polished. The labels were stamped twice, once in Cajun Craze and the second in Lucky Limeade. The words "Thanks" and "Yum" were then cut out and layered. We used 1 pint canning jars.

The fabric was cut with the Scallop Circle Die and gives the fabric a nice edge. To get the fabric on the jar. I ran a line of sticky strip on the jar ring. Then I placed the fabric wrong side up on my table. Next I placed my jar upside down (ring and lid screwed on) and centered on top of the fabric. Then I adhered the fabric to the ring by lifting the North-South sides of the fabric, then East-West and finally the intermediates (NE-SW, NW-SE). Then I turned the jar right side up and tied the taffeta on. It would be difficult to tie the ribbon on without first adhering the fabric to the sides of the ring. Jars can be filled with all sorts of fun homemade or store bought goodies and would make a wonderful fall gift.
