The cold weather season has arrived here in Boston and my neighbors are teasing me about breaking out my winter attire already. I walk about 4 miles everyday and I go through great lengths to shield myself from the cold, from my Roots fleece head band all the way down to my Smart Wool socks. Around this time of year, I start carrying lip balm in my pocket. AND that's how the idea came about for my lip balm Christmas tree.
Lip Balm + Perfect Pines Framelits = CHRISTMAS TREE
Easy-Peasy!
Well, in reality, most things aren't quite so easy-peasy. I had to experiment to come up with the right combination of trees and how to score them. My desk looked like a Christmas tree factory by the time I was through. I also discovered that if I created the trunk in two pieces I could slide out the lip balm without destroying the tree. Cool Beans! You'll also love this tree because you can decorate it however you like. You can even get the kids involved. Just watch my video tutorial and I will show you how to create the Lip Balm Christmas Tree from start to finish.
The key ingredient for this lip balm holder is the Perfect Pines Framelits. All the rest of the supplies you'll need for this project are available for purchase HERE!

ReplyDeleteHi Brenda! You're right; it is getting cold here in the Northeast. I live in Franklin, MA and I've started wearing my gloves in the mornings. I love these Christmas trees, and I think these will make cute little gifts for my daughter to give to her suite mates at college. Thanks for sharing such a great idea!
