Acorny Pop Art Card

I have always wanted to make a pop art card, but I just couldn't find the perfect element to work with. Enter the "acorny" acorn and I think I found the perfect subject. Pop art is a license for me to have fun and put bright colors together that I would normally be too timid to use.

All the supplies you'll need for this project are available for purchase HERE! Earn a FREE tutorial from me when you place a $15 order in my Stampin' Up Store (see the choices HERE).

To create this card I cut a 4-7/8" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black Card Stock. I then cut 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" pieces in Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Wild Wasabi. I adhered the smaller pieces to the Basic Black piece.

Next I punched out the following acorn combinations and adhere them to the swatches.

  • Wild Wasabi - Night of Navy
  • Daffodil Delight - Melon Mambo
  • Blushing Bride - Real Red
  • Marina Mist - Perfect Plum
  • So Saffron - Pumpkin Pie

Finally I stamped "nuts about you" with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and adhered it to the remaining swatch with Dimensionals. Then I adhered this piece to a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Basic Black Card Base.

Happy Stamping!
