Watercoloring with Glycerin

This was supposed to be a simple Minute Monday blog post and it turned out to be a three day journey into finding a new way to watercolor. You see, I love three things: coloring, whisper white card stock and my memento ink pad and right now those three things couldn't co-exist with the tools that I had available. Before I could move forward on some other things I wanted to show you, I had to find a way to color that made me happy.

I've created a video to show you how I watercolor with Glycerin. Please note: I do NOT recommend putting the glycerin directly inside your aquapainter. All the rest of the supplies you'll need to make these cards are available for purchase HERE! Earn a FREE tutorial from me when you place a $15 order in my Stampin' Up Store (see the choices HERE).

Life in the Forest and Just Sayin' are retiring SOON!!!
If you love these stamp set as much as I do, make sure you get it before it's too late (guaranteed until May 26, 2015). There are many other cool products on the retiring list this year, some are discounted and many are while supplies last. Check my Stampin' Up store HERE to see what's still available.

Watercoloring with Glyercin can give you control with how dark your color goes down. Add more glycerin for a lighter effect and less for a darker effect. Below I watercolored Painted Bloom with Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey Reinker. If you try out this technique, please let me know what you think in the comments section below. Happy Stamping!
