Origami Nesting Boxes
I had so much fun making these Origami Nesting Boxes. Once you know how to fold them, you can make them fairly quickly. For a tutorial, please see my Origami Easter Basket Tutorial. Just skip the part with the handle and instead punch Crop-a-dile holes near each corner and add matching ribbon ties. I left these boxes plain, but you could embellish them to your heart’s content.
One thing I really like about these boxes is that they have a lot of character. They look like a little basket you would find at a farmer’s market. Two of the sides have rims and the others have an interesting angle fold. Look closely at my photos and you will see what makes these little boxes so special.
Here are the start dimensions with finished size dimensions:
12 x 12 turns into a 4-1/4” square box x 2” high (Concord Crush)
10 x 10 turns into a 3-1/2” square box x 1-3/4” high (Pear Pizzazz)
8 x 8 turns into 2-7/8” square box x 1-1/2” high (Blushing Bride)
6 x 6 turns into 2-1/4” square box x 1-1/8” high (Poppy Parade)
Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
In-color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, In-Color Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Crop-a-Dile.

Hi Brenda
ReplyDeleteI was searching for an idea for a tower of boxes for a Valentine Extravaganza that I do every year with candy making, box building, and card making. This is really a perfect answer to my dilemma!
Thank you for the inspiration!
