If you want to ...I just thought of one more thing. If you want to do the triangles on the inside. Start with a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece. Score at the 1-7/8" mark both ways. Cut the corners off again. Then cut along the score lines again. This also makes 2 sets. If you're using the Everyday Enchantment paper, I sponged the edges that weren't aged with Sahara Sand ink, to give it a more uniform look.Brenda Quintanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319680814573704893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240425885022903866.post-49758114771609866202012-01-20T20:31:53.084-05:002012-01-20T20:31:53.084-05:00Laura, Thanks for your kind comments. Here is how...Laura, Thanks for your kind comments. Here is how I created the DSP layers: Cut a piece of DSP 4-3/4" x 3-3/4". On the 4-3/4" score line, score at the 1-7/8" mark. On the 3-3/4" side, score at the 1-7/8" mark. With your cutter, cut the four corners off from where the score line meets the edge to where the other score line meets the edge. Finally cut along the score lines. This will create two sets of DSP layers. The one layer will be a perfect dissection of the inner kite shape. The other will be a pattern that doesn't fit back together like a puzzle. However, both sets can be used. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Brenda Quintanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319680814573704893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240425885022903866.post-7535217365451240252012-01-20T19:22:42.498-05:002012-01-20T19:22:42.498-05:00Great card! My bow is on the top and not tied through to the back. If you give it in an envelope, it will be held closed until it is taken out. OR you could punch a couple of holes in the bottom and tie it shut with a length of ribbon. I hope that helps.Brenda Quintanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319680814573704893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240425885022903866.post-50000575236408826012012-01-17T04:08:12.940-05:002012-01-17T04:08:12.940-05:00great card, i made one and still busy with it, jus...great card, i made one and still busy with it, just wondering, do you tie the 2 bottom points together or is your bow just on the top part? do you leave the card open and "springy"? this is an ideal card for a little boy.thanksSusan Nelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05849778849449087856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240425885022903866.post-8723829624248844532012-01-16T20:18:57.524-05:002012-01-16T20:18:57.524-05:00Love your kite card, and wow....I was just wonderi...Love your kite card, and wow....I was just wondering if some embossing like this could be done. I was looking at a technique on another blog and what she did left an unintended sort of embossed area, which of course got me to wondering if this could be done intentionally, and low and behold you've done it! My machine runs really tight, so don't know if it will work or not, but can't wait to get some framelits and try it! Thanks for showing this!Deb B - Debadoonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240425885022903866.post-36608672333014748202012-01-16T15:26:41.026-05:002012-01-16T15:26:41.026-05:00Brenda
