This week’s inspiration comes from none other than my son’s T-shirt drawer. I bought this shirt for him last year from the Shaun White Collection at Target. Notice the stitching in the top left corner of the T-shirt contrasting with the overall color of the shirt and the stripes, which are controlled yet distressed. When I look at this T-shirt I have no doubt it belongs to a teenage boy.
For this card I tried to capture the essence of the T-shirt by bringing in all the colors and the casual spirit of the shirt. I embossed images from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set using Wild Wasabi and Black Embossing Powder. I also took my fringe scissors to the top right hand corner of the card to create an interesting detail. The yellow strip on the left of the card was created by pulling apart two layers of card stock (see below for how I made it). Find out the rest of the supplies you'll need and where to get them HERE!
