Reason To Smile Stepped Up

A few days ago I posted a CAS (Clean And Simple) card using the Reason To Smile Promotion set for July. Here is a stepped up version of the same card. It's the same layout, just a little more detailed.

Notice how the Happy Birthday piece seems to be longer than the framelit it's cut with. I used a strip of Primrose Petals cut to 1-3/8" wide and fed it under the cutting side on one end and the flat side of the other. Then run through the big shot part way just until the cut side runs through and then wind backwards.

Reason To Smile CAS

Some of you may be wondering exactly where I have been. April and May were extremely busy months and I sort of went into stamping exile. Not the good kind either, where I'm locked in a room with just snacks and my stamping supplies. The bad kind, where I don't have time to stamp, even though I really need to because it makes me happy.

Anyway, today I had 3 cards to make. This one is a customer thank you using Stampin' Up's July promotional stamp set: Reason to Smile. You can purchase this set for a mere $5 in July 2012 with a $50 order. It's a steal of a deal, if you ask me.

This CAS (clean and simple) card was made with just FIVE stamping supplies!! Pretty amazing, eh? I inked up the flower stamp with markers and stamped three times near the right, bottom corner. Then I inked up the sentiment and stamped it to the top left. Finally I tied the ribbon around and voila. I hope you like it. It's probably one of the easiest cards you'll ever see me make.
