I would give up stamping if only …

I would give up stamping if only my dear son would get better. My son has been in the hospital since the weekend. On Sunday, he had surgery on his ruptured appendix. It’s killing me to see my little soccer player so weak and helpless. His recovery is going ever so slowly.

My son often tries to bargain his way out of things he doesn’t want to do with cherished items and now I find myself trying to bargain. So here I go: I would give up stamping if only you’ll get better sweetie. I’m not truly going to give up stamping, because I know the universe does not work this way, just as his bargaining never works as a bribe with me. But at times like these, one’s mind does grasp at straws.

If you don’t see any new stamping projects from me for a while, just know that I’m working on the most important project of all: getting my son back home.

  9. Your son comes first than stamping. I understood this. I had been there with my two sons when they were young. I pray for your son for speedy recovery. You can come back when you are ready. I always loved your projects. You did a fantastic job.

  13. I would do the same thing if it brings your boy home sooner. I may not know you, but I know the love for a child and if I could help get a child home again, I would do the same thing.

Will lift him up and pray for him.

  15. there is nothing a mother would not do or sacrifice for a child, I can read in your words the heavy burden you carry. I pray for your son and that you are able to get some rest so that you can be your best with him. prayers and love going your way.

  16. Dear Brenda...it's hard not to feel heavy hearted reading your words as we can all imagine (and some of us know from experience) how you feel.

What's your son's name? Your family is in my prayers.

    Aloha,
    Anne

  17. I hope your little one gets better soon, I think sometimes the toll is far greater on the mom's than the babies. Take care and rest!
